“My daughter was recently married at the HGI Kitty Hawk Pier House and it was as perfect and wonderful as we could ever have imagined! The ceremony was conducted on the Pier with sunny skies and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean below us. It was the most moving and beautiful ceremony and the location was absolutely perfect. Afterwards our guests stepped right inside the Pier House to kick off the Cocktail Hour and Reception. The room was absolutely stunning with candle light gleaming and casting a beautiful glow over the room. From every location in the room we could see the Ocean! The ambiance in the room was exactly what we had hoped for and our guests are still complimenting the beautiful setting! We booked the Pier House 18 months prior to the wedding and the last 6 months with COVID restrictions was very stressful. Miha Slegel was absolutely incredible to work with. She responded to all of our numerous emails, phone calls, and text messages with professionalism and genuine concern. The entire staff did everything in their power to ensure our guests had a good time while remaining safe. The food – WOW! The food was more than good, it was excellent! Everything surpassed our expectations! Our guests are still talking about the Filet (cooked perfectly), Stuffed Shrimp, Crab Cakes and the array of appetizers that included delicious bacon wrapped scallops! I also want to acknowledge the Food and Beverage Manager, Will Browning for his exceptional service. The extra touches executed by the HGI team meant so much to me! For one perfect night, we were able to put the stresses of the world behind us and celebrate this beautiful occasion with family and friends. It was an evening that was filled with tears of joy and laughter and I can’t thank Miha and her team enough! ”

“Jamie & Peggy at the Hilton Garden Inn were absolutely AMAZING! My (now) husband and I decided to move our wedding up 10 months, giving us about a month to plan, and then our original venue fell through a week and a half before our big day! Needless to say, we ended up exactly where we were supposed to be all along. The team and hotel were wonderful to work with. They were able to pull off our dream wedding with such short notice. Getting married on the beach right next to the pier was incredible. The ballroom was spectacular, the food was delicious, and it was definitely a night to remember (COVID restrictions and all!). We are so grateful for all of the work that they put in to our wedding and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. We would recommend them to anybody!! :)”

“Our daughter’s wedding came close to being one of Covid- 19 victims. Originally scheduled for May 15, it had to be postponed to July 10. We all held our breath hoping it would even happen then. Our venue, The Pier House at Kitty Hawk (Hilton Gardens), and special events decorators, I DO OBX Wedding and Event. With the change of date, also came changes in the way the event had to take place to make sure we all stayed within CDC guidelines. Social distancing, no buffets, masks and hand sanitizers all had to be provided. Miha Slegel, Sales Manager at the Hilton Gardens and the head of food services, Will Browning, went above and beyond to make our event happen in such a way that our daughter would be thrilled with. Although we had to have the reception in the ballroom instead of the Pier House because of the 50% capacity regulations, as we originally wanted, the event was fantastic. The ballroom was breathtaking. The food was amazing! The Hilton staff was so helpful and accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated by I Do OBX, with draping and twinkle lights creating a magical ambiance. The ceremony was picture perfect on the Kitty Hawk Pier with the driftwood arch and chairs, also from I DO OBX. I can’t speak highly enough of all the vendors that made our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding such a success. My daughter said it best, “it was perfect.” After the stress of the pandemic, the stress of re-arranging wedding plans and other personal setbacks, the wedding came off without a hitch.”

COVID unfortunately caused us to postpone but the venue was so accommodating and helped take so much stress away. They went above and beyond to create a healthy and safe environment for everyone while still making all my wedding dreams come true. This venue now holds a very special place in my heart. You can tell that they truly care for their couples.”

“We did all our wedding planning from thousands of miles away, but Jamie (director of sales) made things easy! We had our ceremony on the pier and our reception in the pier house and it was everything we could have wanted. The venue is beautiful with a rustic pier and timber frame pier house with open space perfect for dining and dancing! The catering was great and professional, and Jamie helped to make sure everything went off without a hitch! Jamie has a lot of experience coordinating the venue and has great knowledge and advice for couples planning their big day.”

“I’ve been vacationing in Nags Head my whole life and when we decided to get married in Kitty Hawk, I researched a couple venues and the Hilton Garden Inn offered the best opportunities! Jamie and the Hilton staff were absolutely amazing!! I was planning our wedding from out of town and once Jamie was hired (about 3 months before our wedding), she drove full steam ahead! Jamie worked with me over email, text, and phone calls and truly made my life so much easier!!”

“I absolutely cannot say enough. It was BEYOND PERFECT. Miha is an outstanding coordinator and she makes sure that everything happens as planned! She works so well with the vendors and is in constant communication with both you and them. THE FOOD….oh my. 3 weeks later and people are still talking about the crab cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp, and crab dip. The steak was perfect and everything was BEYOND magical. I never in my wildest dreams imagined things would turn out as magical and perfect as they did. AMAZING VENUE & EVEN MORE AMAZING STAFF. Thank you for absolutely everything!!!!”

Having our wedding at the Hilton in Kitty Hawk was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Our guests still cannot stop talking about how amazing the Pier House reception was. We loved that we were allowed to walk out on the pier during the reception, it was absolutely perfect! “Kitty Hawk Pier House is a beautiful venue especially if you’re looking to be right by the ocean. I had my ceremony on the beach right next to the pier and then everyone just walked up to the pier right after for cocktail hour and reception. The inside met my needs of exactly what I wanted with having a rustic side while being at the beach. I worked with Miha and she was very responsive and answered any of my questions especially when it got closer to my wedding date! She definitely tried to make my day as easy as possible and stress free and beautiful set up. I would definitely recommend this venue to future couples!!!”
